Next time you ask for auto insurance rate quote, the insurance company may be asking for your astrological sign rather than your birthdate. Don't be offended. Just blame it on Lee Romanov, president of Toronto-based InsuranceHotline.com and author of thebook 'Car Carma'.

'Car Carma', a book about tickets, insurance, vehicles and the law, takes a light-hearted approach to informing drivers about the before mentioned serious matters. Research for the book came from a study that looked at 100,000 North American drivers records from the past six years. You may be surprised to learn that Libras followed by Aquarians are the worst offenders for tickets and accidents.

One might think that age should be one of the biggest factors in determining auto insurance rates. Romanov, who made the following statement to Reuters, might disagree.
