Bartley said the metaphysical library is one of the few libraries of its kind in the world and because of it, she offers mail order memberships to people who live out of town.In addition, the library occasionally hosts presentations by guest speakers on a variety of topics. On Aug. 3, scholar Danica d'Hondt will speak about information related to the topic of Dan Brown's book, "The DaVinci Code." The location of this event is yet to be determined. The library is actively looking for venues, particularly in Ballard, to host events. Read Entire Article Here >>

The Library might be a bit difficult to find because it is in the lower level, and there is no sign outside the building. The glass door that leads to the stairs going down is covered with signs from the other small businesses there.
Plus, their hours are pretty limited, they are open weekend afternoons, and 3-7 on weekdays. I've come in sometimes when they are supposed to be open, and they weren't.
Their books are pretty dog-eared, but there are a huge collection. I'm personally trying to go through their videos, and help get them organized - they have hundreds of unusual videos.
They also have a large collection of magazines like Sedona, Magical Blend, Atlantis Rising, Borderlands.
They are trying to get programs going that will help support the library, and let them grow a little bit.
I usually find interesting people when I go there, and I like to just listen to their music and read sometimes.
They have a hot water pot, and sometimes, if it's not too busy, they'll brew me some tea.
Really nice people.

Your comments are appreciated, 'anonymous'. Sounds like it would be a good idea to call to make sure
the library is open if our readers are traveling any distance to visit the library.
You reminded me that I have not visited the Seattle Metaphysical Library web site for awhile.
